Quiz Night by Zoom

The Social & Fundraising Committee would like to thank everyone who joined in our first Zoom Quiz – a lot of fun was had by all and we thank Tim for being the Quiz Master.  That evening raised £50 which the Committee has put towards the purchase of a daylight projector on the PCC’s Wish List to be used at the APCM for slide shows, the Youth Services, as well as visiting speakers who might like to use it to make a presentation to us.  I am sure that we will find many other uses for the projector as time goes by.  So far, we have raised £508 towards our £1,000 total so we are over half-way there!  Let’s keep going and with the £1,000 raised, we can not only purchase the projector but a projector table that will make presentations much easier.  (The church already has a screen.)

At a recent meeting, the Committee decided that it would be good to run these events on Zoom bi-monthly.  The next date for your diary is:

Tuesday 3 November 2020
£5 per entry
7.30 pm
Quiz Masters – Kath M & Lesley B

How can I join in?  Easy! Type this link into your search bar on your browser window on your device https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/14203 (or if you receive this electronically, just click on the link) and it will take you to the CAF Donate page where you can donate £5 (or more if you like!).  Your £5 donation will give you one link to join the Zoom quiz.  Of course, by November, we may have different Covid-19 restrictions but if we are still allowed to join up in households/social bubbles etc, then you can do that and, if there are a lot of you, you may wish to donate more than £5 which will allow you to join the quiz on more than one device.  There will not be any prizes as you can always look up all the answers on the internet but that is only cheating yourselves!  All monies raised will be put towards the projector.

Once you have donated, you will be sent an automatic email with a link included.  To join the meeting, simply click on the link and follow the instructions.  If you have a problem on the night, please call 01689 836392 and we can help you.  (There was a problem with the link in September but we are double checking that it works before 3 November!)

If you are not sure how to get onto Zoom or what a browser is, please do call 01689 836392 and we will try and help you through the process.

Let’s get Quizzing!
