Running All Saints Church and supporting the numerous activities the church is associated with requires money.
Some income, of course, comes from the Diocese of Rochester, www.rochester.anglican.org. The rest, however, comes from a number of sources.
Contributions of both money and of time and effort to raise money by the church community are absolutely vital and greatly appreciated.
Here are a few examples of how you might contribute to the income of the church and its activities (and thank you for all you already do):
Payments to the church by parishioners. You can make these payments by:
- Collections at services;
- Attending or helping at events, such as the annual plant sale;
- Using our collecting boxes (such as for lighting candles and to pay for the Parish Magazine)
- Many parishioners make regular financial contributions by standing order or through a weekly/monthly envelope scheme. If you are interested in these schemes please contact the Stewardship Recorder.
Gift Aid is a means of raising funds for the Church at no cost to the giver – the government will add 25p to every pound donated where the donor is a tax payer. There are forms available in Church – don’t forget to include your name, address and signature.

Fundraising can be an enjoyable way of raising extra money for the church or charities that we support. Each year the Social and Fundraising committee organise events that allow parishioners to have fun socially and also raise money. For example we have held an Open Gardens event, plant sales, quiz evenings, Harvest Teas and an Auction of Promises. If you would like to help or have ideas for fundraising events please contact Jean Reeve.
