Fundraising can be an enjoyable way of raising extra money for the church or charities that we support.  We try and use fund raising events to allow us to fund the “extras”.  We aim for the normal costs of running the church to be funded from our routine income, especially from donations from church members.

This year we have started streaming our services to Facebook.  During the Coronavirus pandemic and the associated lockdowns, many church members have told us that being able to access our services from home has had a major positive impact on their mental health.  We hope to maintain this facility even when we are able to meet for full services in church.  To achieve this we need to raise £7,500 for the necessary equipment.  This is our current fundraising priority.

Each year the Social and Fundraising committee organise events that allow parishioners to have fun socially and also raise money. For example we have held an Open Gardens event, quiz evenings, Harvest Teas, cheese and wine tasting,  musical events, live performances and an Auction of Promises. If you would like to help organise an event or have ideas for fundraising events  please contact Kath Misselbrook via the Parish office.
