Julian Group

We are registered with Julian Meetings as The Orpington Julian Meeting. Julian Meetings are ecumenical and non denominational. They are open to all, whether or not a member of a church. The inspiration for Julian Meetings came from the life of Julian of Norwich, a medieval anchoress who wrote ‘Revelations of Divine Love’. Our group meets monthly at 2pm, usually on the third Tuesday of the month, but with occasional variations. The central part of any Julian Meeting is a time of silent prayer for attentive listening to God. To help us prepare for this we have some brief readings and music. A further piece of music ends the silence, usually followed by another brief reading and a closing prayer. After the formal part of the meeting we enjoy a cup of tea and a chat. We are a small group and are always delighted to welcome new members.

“At present, because of the pandemic restrictions, we are meeting online every two weeks via Zoom at 2 pm on a Tuesday. We hope to resume meeting in person when it’s safe and permissible to do so once more.”If interested please email Vanessa for the Zoom link.
