Abi Hiscock

Hi, I’m Abi Hiscock, one of the All Saints’ Licensed Lay Ministers. I do what I can to support the richness  of our ministry at All Saints, and have a particular interest in meditative prayer, especially Ignatian spirituality. On Sundays, you might see me proclaiming the Gospel, preaching, leading intercessions or acting as the sub deacon at the altar while our vicar Reverend George Rogers, or another priest celebrates the Eucharistic prayers. I am also part of the team that leads evening prayer, and I may lead other acts of worship too. This includes sharing pre-blessed communion during pastoral visits to people who need visiting at home. I also serve as a PCC member. I grew up in Norfolk but came to faith as a student at University of Wales Bangor where I met my husband Paul. Some of you may be surprised that for a short while I played flute and sang in a worship group at another church in Orpington, then moved to Cambridge area for work, before moving back to Orpington and choosing All Saints as our Church Family in 2006. I am mum to Thomas and Emily, and work full-time for the Diocese of Rochester as the Growth Enabler for Bromley & Bexley archdeaconry, where I blend my training as an LLM with my professional background in the charity sector, including organisational health, planning and impact
